Help get Aunti Bobbi into the Stampede Parade!!!
Being in the Stampede Parade has been my dream since I was a little girl! Here is what I submitted in my application to the Calgary Stampede. I truly believe that dreams do come true and it is a message that I want all children and their parents) to know! So make sure you dream and dream big because they really do come true it is just a matter of when!!!
Help make Aunti Bobbi's Dream come true and send me a blog as to why the Calgary Stampede & Exhibition should accept my application. Thank you Love AB
Bobbi Kurtz (McKellar) was born and raised in Calgary, she moved to Nanaimo BC in 1992 but before she left she was crowned the best ya-hooer in Southern Alberta at the Calgary Stampede in the grandstand and won a trip to Las Vegas. The red crinoline was worn in the contest and has been a part of her costume ever since.
When it comes to her popularity on the west coast Aunti Bobbi describes herself as the “Buck Shot” of Nanaimo and is currently working on a television program that she plans to start shooting in the fall of 2011.
Bobbi is excited to be a part of festivities and living the dream she envisioned since she was a little girl! Although in the early years she imagined being on a float or horse in a beautiful western outfit, “who would have imagined that I would grow up to be a clown and at 47 be living my dream” Bobbi is thrilled to come home and entertain the children along the parade route. Bobbi’s message to children is to believe in yourself and dream your dreams as they really do come true. Bobbi loves her clown career and is beyond excited to be able to share her dream come true of being in the parade with the children and families she reaches.
